Hello, don't know about you all but I am more than ready for the weekend, been a very busy week with kids activities, although the weekend doesn't look to be any less busy, we have 3 soccer games and a band competition this weekend. Phew, I am tired just from thinking about it. :)
Anyway on to the card. I made this card for the Freshly Made Sketches challenge. It is for my Niece who's birthday is today (Happy Birthday Nicole!). It came together pretty quickly and had hardly any stamping. You can't see it in the picture but I stamped little flowers in Versamark Frost ink. I don't know what punch made the leaves as they were given to me by a friend. Thanks for looking.

From Our Patch
Hello, I accomplished two challenges with this card. It was Lisa's turn to pick a challenge and she picked the Spotlighting technique. I had never done this before, it was pretty easy and fun to do, always fun to try something new, right? The second challenge was the one that Lisa and I are doing together. We have decided to pick one stamp set each week and make as many cards as we can using that set. We both decided we have a lot of stamps that haven't seen ink in awhile and they needed some love. This is my last card using the GinaK Designs Falling For You stamp set. It is a fun fall card. Kinda fitting since tomorrow is the first day of fall. :)
Well, I am off to decide on what my next stamp set will be. Have a great weekend. Thanks for looking.

Hoppy Birthday!
I made this card for my Cousin's little boy's first birthday. I used the GinaK set that I picked to use for the week. I love this frog he is so happy and cute, easy to color. I paper pieced his belly. I was going to put googlie eyes on him but I forgot. I used twine around the square to give the present feel. Don't know if you can see it in the picture but I used a Versamark frosted ink on the main card base, and used two party stamps from Hero Arts. Over all it I like how it turned out. Thanks for looking.

Emboss Resist
Hello, Here is another card using the stamp set of the week. :) This is going to be a great way to put my stamps to good use, what a great idea you had Lisa. :)
I am using the Falling for You stamp set this week, I used the fern image this time. I embossed the fern and did the emboss resist technique. I also used some scrap pieces of ribbon in the upper right hand corner.
I have more cards that I have made with this set and will upload those tomorrow. Have a great day, thanks for looking.

Just Chicken In
Hello, I have a card here that takes care of two challenges (love that). The first challenge is a challenge that my friend Lisa and I started on Sept 1. We decided to pick one stamp/stamp set a week and make as many cards as we can using that stamp set. The set that I have chosen to use this week is the GinaK Designs Falling for You set. I am having a lot of fun with it. I have 4 cards that I have made so far with this set so keep checking in and see what else I have made. :)
The second challenge was the newest sketch from Freshly Made Sketch. As you can see this is a pretty easy sketch (which are the best). I stamped the chicken and colored it in with markers and than stamped him again on scrap designer paper and paper pieced the wing and one of the tail feathers. I used my Martha Stewart boarder punch on the brown card stock and mounted another piece of designer paper to the brown card stock. Cut out the chicken with my square Nestabilities, embossed and then inked around the square. You can't really see it in the picture but I used my glitter glue pen and put some glitter on the red parts around the chicken's head (not sure what those are called, LOL). Thanks for looking.
